Longtime Democratic financier and well-known LGBTQ political activist, Ed Buck, was arrested this week for operating a drug house, battering causing serious injury, and administering doses of methamphetamine to black gay men. Prosecutors, referring to Buck as a “violent sexual predator,” shook up the quiet West Hollywood neighborhood by taking the man into custody.
Buck has skated two previous incidents where two men died in his apartment after allegedly being drugged and virtually held captive. Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean were declared “accidental” deaths by drug overdose. In 2017, Los Angeles County prosecutors declined prosecution for insufficient evidence.
They must have needed a smoking gun, as according to the Los Angeles County Coroner, when Moore’s body was recovered they found all manner of drug paraphernalia, glass pipes with burn marks and white residue, baggies of drugs, syringes with a brown substance caked in and around and chunks of meth.
Smoking Gun: A Live One
It seems the smoking gun needed by prosecutors came in the form of a survivor, listed in court papers as Joe Doe. Joe went willingly to Buck’s apartment on September 4 when, he told prosecutors, Buck “personally and deliberately” delivered a large dose of meth. Doe was coherent enough to leave the apartment and seek medical attention when the world went wonky.
But the promise of drugs lured him back to Buck’s pad where supposedly Buck upped the ante – doubling the dangerous dose and attempting to keep the man from calling 9-1-1. Eventually, Joe Doe did free himself and fled to a gas station for help.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey had a moment in the spotlight: “With this new evidence, I authorized the filing of criminal charges against Ed Buck.”
The court papers were less kind to Buck:
“From his home, in a position of power, Buck manipulates his victims into participating in his sexual fetishes … Not deterred by the senseless deaths of Moore and Dean, the defendant nearly killed a third victim last week … The full scope of his consistent malicious behavior is unknown. It is only a matter of time before another one of these vulnerable young men dies of an overdose.”
Now they act. But will Buck get off easy or be hung out to fend for himself like Jeffrey Epstein, another darling donor of the left?
Dems Racking Up Sexual Predators
Buck has a flamboyant history of hanging with an A-list of who’s who in Democratic politics. In the past he has generously supported every lefty cause du jour and candidate with hefty donations to former California Governor Jerry Brown, also-ran presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Financier and friend of Bill Clinton, Jeffrey Epstein was set to stand trial for accusations of sexual crimes and sex trafficking for women and very young girls, but his expiration date arrived before a trial could be held – evidently by suicide.
And let’s not forget pro-abortion and gay rights activist Terry Bean.
One news outlet printed a story about Bean and his buddy, then President Barack Obama:
“Obama called Bean a ‘great friend and supporter.’ The president in 2012 hosted Bean on Air Force One, and when Obama visits Oregon, Bean has had the honor of greeting him as the president gets off his plane.”
In November 2014, Bean was arrested and charged one count of third-degree sexual abuse with more than one minor and two counts of third-degree sodomy. Charges were dropped, but suddenly this past January, ole’ Bean was back in the hotseat. We’ll see if the evidence will sink him this go around.
