During the First World War, the German government unleashed an atrocity propaganda campaign targeting Britain, designed to mobilize hatred against the enemy and convince the public that their political and military causes were justified. British satirists joked about families sitting down for breakfast and having their “morning hate.” Who knew a century later this would be a daily ritual for the millions populating the Twitterverse?
Beware the Outrage Mob
Every time a day ends in “y,” the outrage mob grabs its digital pitchforks and torches, showcasing disgust over something as benign as smiling while white. Entering a fit of petulant rage, these angry Twitter users will begin to dox, threaten, and intimidate those who dare hold a different opinion, thus violating NPC groupthink. .[perfectpullquote align=”right” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=”24″]..the audience will witness the disembowelment of their mind’s antagonist with complete disregard for facts and logic.[/perfectpullquote]
This behavior is reminiscent of George Orwell’s Two Minutes Hate from his magnum opus, Nineteen Eighty-Four. But, instead of converging to a real-life building to tap into “a hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer,” they gather on social media and shout 280 characters behind a screen without any accountability, reason, or discourse.
The public’s thirst for blood is so ravenous that a modicum of evidence to support their assertions is superfluous. Like the gladiator games of ancient Rome, the audience will witness the disembowelment of their mind’s antagonist with complete disregard for facts and logic.
There is no other finer example of this than Nicholas Sandmann and his Covington Catholic High School peers. The blitzkrieg to destroy their lives for just waiting for their bus to go home was a riveting tale in fake news, neoteric gangs, and the insidious nature of leftism.
Crazytown
When it was first reported that MAGA hat-wearing students were bullying an elderly Native American man, the left and right went apoplectic. From media personalities to entertainers, there were calls to action of a violent nature against underaged boys. Even the great Scott Adams fell for the fake news, calling the parties involved “a—holes” (he soon apologized).
These odious remarks were made in addition to the perpetrating of fake news. Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) claimed that these teens yelled “it’s not rape if you enjoy it” and were “taunting 5 Black men.” The media reported, on the word of Nathan Phillips, that these students shouted: “build the wall.” Others are suggesting that the teens berated a young woman.
Unfortunately, rather than admit they got the story wrong, the mainstream press is attempting to collectively mask its massive error by explaining how it’s racist to wear MAGA hats. The Counterfeit News Network ran this headline: “Trump’s MAGA hats have become a potent symbol of racism.” In other words, they got what they deserved.
So, of course, with these remarks, the left-leaning outrage mob is emboldened. They will continue to denigrate, pounce, and terrorize a person or a company they deem is racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, or, everyone’s favorite, literally Hitler. In this crazytown, that could be a person right of Joseph Stalin or a business that does not participate in progressive virtue-signaling initiatives a la Gillette or Nike.
We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Facts
Perhaps the new mantra of the left – facts are irrelevant if you’re morally right – will dominate their day-to-day decision-making. Rather than emulating Hercule Poirot by tapping into your little gray cells, leftists will act first and ask questions later. In fact, leftists may not even ask questions later, choosing to instead justify their iniquitous behavior by spouting social justice buzzwords – patriarchy, white supremacy, and internalized oppression. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
