Veterans Under Fire

Biden ‘Ready to Act’ on Open Borders
While President Joe Biden maintained it isn’t a crisis, he did admit the border isn’t secure. During a press conference on Friday, January 19, Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich asked the president if he believed the border was secure.
“No, it is not,” he answered, adding, “I haven’t believed that for the last ten years. And I’ve said it for the last ten years. Give me the money.” Read here.
Removing Texas Border Fence
On the heels of Biden admitting the border is not secure, the Supreme Court decided the administration can go ahead and remove parts of the fence Texas put in place to help prevent illegal crossings. But Texas found a loophole. Read here.
Louisiana to Start Tracking Migrants
In Louisiana, Republican Governor Jeff Landry signed an executive order on January 16 requiring agencies to monitor their sectors and report the financial burdens of aiding illegal migrants to his office. Read here.

Two men and a woman were killed by an illegal migrant who posed as a UPS driver and his two accomplices in Minnesota, according to the Washington Examiner.
February
In February, the US Border Patrol recorded 140,644 encounters along the southwest border.
Washington Gave $350 Million in COVID Funds to Migrants
The Evergreen State received $4.4 billion in SLFRF funding, which was created by President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan, and gave a few hundred thousand dollars of it on the undocumented. Read here.
China Reacts to Texas and Open Borders
In China, social media users are enthralled with the legal battles, claiming America is at war with itself. “If the U.S. really pushes Texas back, then it will be great fun,” said one user on Weibo, as reported by Newsweek. “I hope both sides will not be cowardly and that they will fight to the end.” Another wrote: “Every day you can hear the sound of the American empire crumbling.” Read here.
February Migrant Crimes
A video of New York City Police officers being assaulted by a group of illegal immigrants went viral, and it wasn’t pretty. Two of the Big Apple’s finest were shown on West 42nd Street near Times Square wrestling someone to the ground while others piled on with kicks and punches. Read here.
Laken Riley was killed while she was out running on the University of Georgia’s campus. Jose Ibarra was accused of killing the 22-year-old nursing student.
Illegal immigrants in New York City allegedly stole phones and purses from 62 women. A group of migrants were arrested on February 5 in the Bronx after a “citywide crime spree” according to ABC News. Read here.
In Maryland, Nilson Trejo-Granados, 25, is the suspect in a shooting that killed a two-year-old boy. The illegal immigrant reportedly intended to shoot both the boy and his mother, according to the Washington Examiner.

Denver Cutting Jobs to Support Migrants

Friday, Feb. 23, hundreds of migrants in San Diego, CA, were released at a bus stop without access to public bathrooms after funding for aid ran out. Read here.
Illegals to Get Professional Certifications in Washington?
The Washington House of Representatives passed HB 1889, which is currently being considered by the Senate. If the bill is approved, illegal migrants in the Evergreen State will be able to get professional licenses and permits by providing a taxpayer identification number instead of a social security number. Giving Green Cards to Illegal Migrants
The administration is considering handing out green cards to about 10,000 migrants who have been in the country – illegally, of course – for at least a decade. Read here.
Migrants Hiding at School
The wave of illegal aliens swarming the border has started to trickle into schools, at least in the instance of Santa Teresa Middle School in New Mexico, where a group of migrants went on campus, prompting it to go into “secure mode,” Newsweek reported. Read here.
Mexican President Talks Francis Scott Key Bridge Collision
Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said the collapse of the bridge shows that “migrants go out and do risky jobs at midnight” and that they “do not deserve to be treated as they are by certain insensitive, irresponsible politicians in the United States.” He made the remark after two of the victims identified were revealed as non-citizens. Mexico Will Not Accept Migrants From Texas
Senate Bill 4, the newest proposed law, would make it so that officials can arrest and deport undocumented migrants at the state level instead of depending on federal assistance and governance. Mexico’s foreign ministry said they will not accept deportations made by the Lone Star State “under any circumstances.” Read here.

Migrants With Alleged Ties to ISIS Arrested
Eight migrants from Tajikistan with possible ties to the terrorist group ISIS were arrested in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. All the men were able to cross the southern border into the US while their criminal background checks were clean. Read here.
June Migrant Crimes
Johan Jose Martinez-Rangel, 22, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, were arrested for the murder of a 12-year-old girl in Houston, Texas. The suspects reportedly strangled her and left her body in a shallow creek, reported CNN.
July
In July, the US Border Patrol recorded 56,408 encounters along the southwest border.
Migrants With Unvetted Visas
A report found that between 2020 and 2023, the Department of State gave around 7.1 million non-immigrant visas without doing an in-person interview. Furthermore, within that time frame, fingerprints were not collected for an unknown number of visa applicants. Read here.

August Migrant Crimes
An 11-year-old Venezuelan boy was arrested after he and a 17-year-old male attacked a person on a Manhattan-bound train in Queens. The victim told the New York Post that the younger boy was the “primary aggressor.” Read here.

ICE told a Texas border lawmaker that 435,000 undocumented migrants with criminal convictions were released into cities around the country, according to Border Report.
Dimas Gabriel Yanez, 26, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, reportedly stabbed a 14-year-old girl in the hand while she attended a baseball game in unincorporated Lowell, Indiana. Read here.

600 Migrants Connected to Violent Gang

November Migrant Crimes
A group of migrants from South America was recently indicted for several bank robberies in California, Oregon, and Washington. The immigrants, mostly from Chili, targeted more than 29 banks and credit unions, allegedly using construction crew disguises, cellphone jammers, blowtorches, and other “sophisticated tactics” to steal more than $4 million in cash, according to federal prosecutors. Hit Order on Border Patrol
Border Patrol agents are on alert after a memo went out warning that the Mexican cartel has allegedly ordered a hit on them. “The information received indicated the shooting could possibly occur over the next few days,” the memo read regarding cartel retaliation. Read here.

The Justice Department alleges that Shenghua Wen, as well as other unnamed co-conspirators, “successfully exported at least two shipments of firearms and ammunition to North Korea by concealing the items inside shipping containers that were shipped from Long Beach, California, through Hong Kong, China, to North Korea,” a federal complaint filed in the Central District of California read.
