Oh boy, more alarming commentary from the Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) camp in a newly released undercover video from Project Veritas. We’ve already heard from campaign organizers Martin Weissgerber and Kyle Jurek, who want to send Republicans to gulags for retraining. Now we hear the rantings of two South Carolina field coordinators as they talk about attracting radicals to the campaign and even calling for damaging people’s property.
Mason Baird and Daniel Taylor are the two unsuspecting guests in the latest project installment. After admitting that “[w]e attract radical, truly radical people in the campaign,” Baird added, “Obviously, that’s not outward-facing.”
You think?
Baird continued:
“A lot of these people who do that kind of work are … Their politics fall well outside of the American sort of norm. So, they’re Marxist-Leninists, they’re Anarchists. They’re these types of folks, and, um, and they have more of a mind for direct action, for engaging in politics outside the electoral system.
After saying that “a lot of the stories we’re told in the United States about, you know, the gulags and the persecution of the Kulaks and things like that are exaggerated,” Baird explained how a Sanders presidency would work. “It would, it’s gonna take, you know, it’s gonna take militancy … like a militant labor movement that’s willing to … strike, and if necessary, you know, just destroy property and things like that.” And then:
“We would need a federal government and a labor movement that is working together to strip power away from capitalists and preferably directing that violence toward property.”
Liberty Nation’s Sarah Cowgill covered the earlier Project Veritas video release and summed up the Sanders campaign quite succinctly:
“In the middle of the progressive free stuff, peace, love, and technicolor harmony (albeit in a currently all-white presidential race) mantra of stellar Democratic contenders running for president, one candidate is emerging from the pack. How, you might ask? By employing volatile, destructive, and delusional staffers who prefer to be labeled ‘communist.’ In America. In the 21st century. The frumpy, perpetually angry and irritable Senator Bernie Sanders (I or D-VT) is that candidate.”
So, the campaign organizers advocate for forced retraining of Republicans who need to accept a president who wants all Americans to have everything free. If you don’t want it, too bad, we’re going to use our power to make sure you accept this, whether you like it or not, whether it’s constitutional or not.
Taylor, the other featured guest, said that they don’t want to scare people off right from the get-go. “So, you kinda have to feel it out before you get into the crazy stuff,” he said, adding:
“More extreme organizations and stuff like Antifa, you know you were talking about Yellow Vests and all that; but, you know, we’re kinda keeping that, keeping that on the back burner for right now.
“It is unfortunate that we have to make plans for extreme action, but like I said, they’re not going to give it to us, even if Bernie is elected.”
So, is that the true nature of the campaign? To force, coerce, and take whatever they are not “given”? Some of the tweets following the video are from people questioning why Sanders has not fired these staff members and suggest that the presidential hopeful must in some way agree with what they are saying. Who knows if that’s true, but one thing is for certain: The agenda set forth by these campaign staffers is a chilling warning to the American people.
