In Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s latest addition to the ever-expanding Russian Collusion investigation, the latest piece of the puzzle is a meeting that took place between Don Jr. in early 2016 and an “emissary” of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, George Nader. It is alleged that the two met in Trump Tower where the Trump Campaign was offered support and help in winning the presidency.
Yet what is not being reported is that Nader is a convicted pedophile with long-standing ties to the U.S. government. Can I hear the word “leverage” being whispered in the corridors of power?
Official Capacity
This new spark of hope for the waning Russia investigation has “stunningly authentic contacts,” according to Aaron David Miller, the director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He mentions that Nader has long been involved in diplomatic relations between Middle Eastern nations:
“He had tremendous contacts in the Middle East in places that normal people — at least back then, and to this day — don’t go.”
In his role as adviser to United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, he is often referred to as “the messenger,” and he has been a known contact for high-level “parlays.”
After Nader was arrested at Dulles International airport with video footage of underage boys engaging in sex acts, his defense attorneys Neil Jaffee and Richard Mendelson argued that “Nader was involved in negotiations to free US citizens taken hostage in Beirut.” Prosecutors responded saying “the nature of Nader’s work was unclear, even to US officials.”
Does this seem shadowy at all?
Crimes and Convictions
In 1984, Nader’s Washington D.C. home was searched, and pornographic materials were found. Even Nader’s defense attorney, Gwynneth Moolenaar, admitted when questioned whether the “material” taken from Nader’s room was “child pornography, was it not?” that:
“Yes, that was child pornography, yes.”
The case was thrown out due to a technicality; D.C. District Court Judge John Garrett Penn ruled that:
“In sum, this court holds that the warrant read in its entirety amounts to a general warrant which is impermissibly broad and in violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. The court further holds that there is no basis not to apply the exclusionary rule in this case. Finally, the court rules that the offending portions of the warrant may be severed and that the search and seizure of the six items described with particularity in the warrant may be upheld.”
The charges were dropped.
Yet he continued to bring child pornography into the country and was in court again in 1990 after the Dulles airport arrest. This time he was found guilty and sentenced to a brief period in a halfway house. He was not added to the Sex Offenders Register. During his six-month hiatus, he was filmed hosting talks for the Middle East Insight organization by C-Span which involved ambassadors and Senators.
In 2003, Nader was convicted in the Czech Republic on 10 counts of abusing underage boys. He was sentenced to a year in a Prague prison. If this seems like a light sentence, that’s because it is. Those of a more conspiratorial mindset might conclude that pressure was applied to the Czech government to apply leniency.
A Man To Trust
The fact that the initial investigation is falling apart as Intelligence assets within the Trump Campaign are being outed must lead many to wonder if this is perhaps a setup orchestrated with a person who clearly appears to have deep government ties and is, without doubt, an individual to whom leverage can be applied.
Is Mueller really going to try and pass Nader off as a credible witness?
And more importantly, why do many of the leftist media organizations’ (CNN included) lead stories on Nader’s meeting with Don Jr. completely fail to mention his disgusting criminal past? Surely this is newsworthy?
Perhaps some folks are willing to overlook just about anything if there is a chance of slinging more dirt at the president? Remember, if you lie down with dogs, you might get fleas.
