The New American Red Guards
During China’s Cultural Revolution, communist leader Mao Zedong mobilized millions of high school students into an army of “useful idiots” to ram his desired changes down the throats of the old folk. These Red Guards were easily manipulated. They were loud, they were violent, and they were quite effective.
As Liberty Nation’s Andrew Moran points out, it’s all happening again:
“We are witnessing eerie similarities between yesterday’s Russian revolutionary vanguard, Germany’s Hitlerjugend, and Communist China’s Red Guards and today’s Black Lives Matter and Antifa fascist derelicts. In an age when violence is justified, will everyone to the right of Senator Bernie Sanders be conquered and victimized by the fatuous skinny white leftists pursuing a communist utopia?”
Just as was the case in the historical examples Andrew listed, today’s American cultural revolution features a complicit media.
What to Watch for
As the 2020 elections draw near, a frightening question looms: Will these “peaceful protesters” go home after the votes are cast – or will they ramp up the violence regardless of which sides wins?
James Madison Said It Best
This most recent incarnation of Marxist revolutionaries brings to mind the words of one of our Founders, James Madison. “Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace,” he once said. With droves of BLM and Antifa protesters perfectly happy to commit violence clogging the streets of our major cities and an establishment media hell-bent on deifying them, we’ve hit two out of three of Madison’s conditions for tyranny.
Liberty Nation’s Leesa K. Donner demonstrates why the right to bear arms is indeed so crucial:
“How wretched is it that we must look to the right to bear arms as the only firewall remaining as Marxist crusaders carry out their imperious mission of forced obeisance upon our citizenry? Thus, should we be surprised that first-time buyers pack gun shops? Is it any wonder that armed vigilantes in Kenosha, WI, are hitting the streets ready to mow down the mob? These questions are not meant as threats; they merely represent the outcome of a cause and effect reality, which we are now witnessing. Americans are increasingly being boxed into a corner where no one wants to go because they refuse to pay adulation to the totalitarian tyranny of the mob.”
What to Watch for
We may have only two of the three conditions Madison warned of right now, but as more people are forced to defend themselves with deadly force, the Marxist Media gains more examples of “gun violence” to twist into passioned arguments to disarm the public. Watch for increased pushes for “common sense” gun control. If Biden and the Dems come out on top, don’t be surprised if those quickly escalate to demands for “buybacks” and confiscations.
Washington Whispers & Other Juicy Tidbits
Be on the lookout for:
- Chicago, San Jose, Columbia, South Carolina, and Syracuse, New York sued the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), demanding it correct how it interprets what is a firearm and halt the sale of untraceable “ghost gun” kits. So-called “ghost gun” or “80% gun” kits are self-assembled from parts purchased online or at gun shows. The parts that are assembled are not classified as a firearm by the ATF. For that reason, they can be legally sold with no background checks and without serial numbers to identify the finished product. This is what these leftist-run cities hope to change.
