How presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) hasn’t been run out of the Swamp, sporting a tar- and-feather designer pantsuit, with Michael Moore producing a not-so-flattering movie about her political ideology, is simply beyond comprehension. For God’s sake, Democrats – the woman is sane! Perhaps Gabbard hasn’t been outside her Commie-leaning welfare state of Hawaii long enough to discover exactly where her political beliefs line up in today’s upside-down, backward, and on fire lunatic Congress.
Hell’s bells, she just may be a Republican. Gabbard has staked out many stances in opposition to her Democrat comrades, and in a recently released campaign video, she comes across as a Constitution-loving American:
“Big tech, overreaching government, political correctness – our constitutional rights are under attack. As president, I’ll protect your rights to free speech, civil liberties, and personal privacy, because they’re essential to our American values and must never be compromised.”
How can the Democrats allow Gabbard to keep speaking her mind this way? She’s not politically correct, and falling in lockstep with the PC police is the one tool in the box that Democrats have any luck using against conservatives.
Or has the offended movement’s success finally run out?
It’s no secret that the likes of Google, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter are preoccupied with censoring free speech that is in direct conflict with the direction the radical left is trying to steer America. The powerful juggernaut of conform-or-be-shamed tactics is at full steam. Never mind that it only separates the country further from the middle in national ideology.
They began the drumbeat to remove historical markers, to label the Betsy Ross flag as racist, and to convince a large audience of unstudied individuals that the United States is a giant white supremacist society.
Such hysteria could not be further from the truth. Tulsi stepped into a steaming pile of revisionist dogma, and instead of changing her sandals to a pair more acceptable to her party, she rinsed them off with plastic-bottled water and continued to preach her own politics.
Perhaps she will regret her convictions come November 2020, but today she seems energized to call out those doing wrong to the document that separated a country destined for freedom from tyrannical British rule.

After Gabbard appeared in the first presidential debates, she immediately became the most “googled” name in politics. Google apparently played fast and loose with Gabbard’s ad campaign and pulled it, sensing a sane, middle-of-the-road Democrat might gain traction in a radical socialist-leaning field. Tulsi is suing for a cool $50 million, arguing that she could have lost “potentially millions” in donations.
At first Google shrugged, but eventually it responded that her campaign had been suspended for “suspicious financial activity.” That could be translated as: “She’s normal; let’s stop people from donating to her campaign.”
Tulsi is a proponent of free speech, is anti-political correctness, and doesn’t seem to care she is way off the reservation when compared to the media darlings in the current Democrat corral.
A Mind of Her Own
Named after the herb basil, Tulsi is of Samoan and European descent and grew up in a practicing Catholic and Hindu home. She should be the orgasmic dream of the Democratic Party, as she checks just about every significant box: abortion rights, Medicare for All, same-sex marriage. Check, check, and check.
Well, almost every tick on the laundry list. She is a woman who doesn’t question her gender, and she has a solid history of liberal thinking with an uncanny ability to appear logical and sane. In 2015, Gabbard voted with Republican cohorts in Congress on a bill that required “extreme vetting” of Syrian and Iraqi refugees, and at the same time she called for a suspension of a visa waiver program for European passport holders. That qualifies as America First thinking.
She doesn’t back down, stays true to her beliefs, and doesn’t pander for votes using the latest slings and arrows in the Dem quiver: white supremacist, racist, climate denier. She sticks to the issues and allows free speech to reign. No doubt the latest declaration that “political correctness” is a danger to the republic will have her packing in her campaign soon enough.
For the Democratic Party, she’s just not insane enough.
