While the media and other leftist elites ignore the millions of folks living in “flyover” states, they do so at their own peril; it was this silent majority that put President Trump in the White House. Each week, Liberty Nation gives voice to the hard-working heartlanders who are silent no more.
The political discourse was all about boobs in the heartland. From Beto the boob tanking the Democratic chances in 2020 by announcing to all, “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15 and AK-47” to the city of Fort Collins, CO, which acquiesced to demands of radicals and now allows girls as young as 11 and women older than dirt to go topless. With crispness in the air and Autumn soon approaching, one wonders about the timing of this latest advance for the fairer sex.
Eyes Up Here
The #FreeTheNipple folks and feminists are celebrating a landmark decision by the federal Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals allowing women in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma to go topless. Fort Collins, CO, was a holdout, insisting on maintaining some sense of modesty. That finally collapsed, however, under the weight of budget guzzling lawsuits by the bare breasting duo of Brit Hoaglund and Samantha Six.
So, women can walk around topless in six US states, and that is a win for feminists. Yet voluntarily posing for a centerfold, making a pile of cash, is objectifying? Who can possibly keep up with what is deemed acceptable these days? As Paul Manning of Loves Park, IL, opines, “I’m sure there won’t be ANY unforeseen consequences.”
Guys are going to gawk. There portends to be no more eye contact in Colorado and the mantra, “Eyes up here,” is on the way to the old language dump.
But here’s what the normal, logical thinking, responsible folks find alarming: The law allows girls 11 to 17 to let it all hang out as well. Some are thinking the perverts of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals are quietly panting about the possibilities.
Hamilton Brannigan of Grand Rapids, MI, wonders the same: “Now young girls are at greater danger of molestation because of the foolishness of some short-sighted fools,” and Joe Owens from Pennsylvania raised another pertinent issue, “Hmmm. I sincerely hope they are ready to change their laws covering child pornography.”
This decision could easily become a very sticky wicket for the Tenth Circuit. Section 2256 of Title 18, United States Code states:
“Notably, the legal definition of sexually explicit conduct does not require that an image depict a child engaging in sexual activity. A picture of a naked child may constitute illegal child pornography if it is sufficiently sexually suggestive.”
Colorado is a state embracing a radical agenda – legal recreational marijuana, abolishing the electoral college, and now promoting nudity to girls under legal age. This does not seem like a win for Middle America. From the big city of Houston, TX, David Spence paints a picture of things to come: “Eleven years old naked smoking weed and walking in the streets. What a great place to raise a family.”
Democrats Planning Beto’s Disappearing Act
Speaking of a man plagued with questionable thoughts throughout the years, Beto O’Rourke may have made his last appearance on the Democratic presidential debate stage last week. God-fearing, law-abiding folks of every political party in the nation heard the guarantee that yes, Democrats are coming for your guns. The line received a modicum of audience applause, but an absolute tsunami of back-peddling and crisis management from nearly everyone else.
Obviously, after a weekend of cogitating strategies for the outspoken, wildly gesturing inflatable tube man – as Beto has been tagged by Liberty Nation’s Graham J. Noble – they had a plan: Revert to Dems get out trouble for saying something stupid, chapter two: Nothing to See Here.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took one for the team, claiming: “I don’t know of any other Democrat who agrees with Beto O’Rourke …” And that was the entirety of their response for an apparent outright assault on the Second Amendment.
Can you imagine what law-abiding citizens in flyover country had to say? Let’s just say you can’t fool the middle Americans.
In Ohio, David Hopkins opined: “Chuck’s out of touch, too, because every single day I see some Democratic lawmaker squawking about new laws to force citizens to give up their guns. One day Chuck will pull those glasses up off his beak and take a look at reality.”
The good people of Tennessee know – just ask Brad Hudspeth. “Make no mistake, gun-grabbing is most definitely on their agenda,” he explained. “Old Chuck can attempt to deny it, but it’s high on their list …”
And in Oklahoma, yes, they know too. As Eric Linkous commented, “BS, that’s your goal and always has been. Beto is the only one honest enough to say so.”
And Mary Jensen from Ohio summed it right up, “This party is a mess.”
In 2019, politics, as we have come to recognize, is either downright frightening or amusing. What will they do next?
