Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Sunshine State’s Attorney General Ashley Moody will replace Senator Marco Rubio in the seat he has vacated to seek the nomination for Secretary of State.
In a press conference this morning, DeSantis elevated to Moody the position after citing her track record against human tracking and filing lawsuits against those who engage in political persecution. Moody has been the Florida AG since 2019, a position formerly held by Pam Bondi, who is currently undergoing the confirmation process to become the US Attorney General.
