In a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, 45 GOP representatives accuse the Biden administration of trying to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from “within” by placing new guidelines and restrictions upon how agents can do their work.

They fail to recognize that The American people recognized just how much they put their thumb really their whole body on the scale to get first Joe Biden elected and then Kamala Harris I mean it was so palpable Uh but what they what they seem to what they seem to Can I just interrupt you on that one This is really important to bring up You were watching the MSNBC as well uh throughout the election night And I was there in the wee small hours Listening to every word following all my sources updating our amazing coverage on LibertyNation com and it devolved the MSNBC panel They started talking about we are losing We have lost They used the word we to describe Kamala Harris' campaign The first honest thing they've said most of the campaign Exactly right when Kamala Harris lost they lost Because what Kamala Harris was selling the public didn't buy And therefore when the media were saying we are losing they've lost too.

So we talk about that there's a a blue collar vote we talk about there's a black vote there's a Hispanic vote And I find that um not you Tim of course but the people in the political uh parties they have this idea that this is what they are and this is what they shall always remain This will always be a blue-collar vote This will always be or the colors as they call it because this is the white-collar vote as well as they call it the colors Uh the black vote will always be this The Hispanic vote will be Based on the idea that the people Are where they are and where they will stay And that to me seems and I'm not an American but it seems to me a fundamentally un-American proposition because if America is anything at all which it obviously is it's the place where people can get ahead through merit And it's where there aren't barriers of uh of class There aren't barriers of stationed in life And what you have is mean the world has changed so much just in the last ten years 10 15 years where people from any background can essentially go into any field There's no barrier to entry anymore And so what happens is everybody who is anybody who has even just a mild bit of Uh and it to me that relying on for example beyond what they have And there's very few people who are happy to just sit at home and accept what accept their lot And it seems to me that relying on for example The black vote or the Hispanic vote relying on that because these people are in this socioeconomic condition it completely undermines the idea that these people are striving And the blue-collar works as well

After almost 50 years of plummeting returns, education may be getting the shake-up it needs.

But you've got to remember that Trump is going to really shake things up this time He's going to really drain the swamp He's going to try and get rid of thousands of federal unaccountable bureaucrats Uh which really define the swamp A permanent bureaucracy unaccountable to anybody and distant uh from the American people You know as far as elite media goes I think we can we can say rest in peace because this is the end.

Because they've been that whole ethos that they went into the election with that whole raison d'etre of progressive policies which as you have pointed out many times on this show and in the pages of libertynation com Joe Biden governed as though he had a mandate for systemic progressive change and it appears that the voters have rejected that So what question do they ask themselves and where do they go from here Well the first thing they should do is to look at history And it's very instructive go back to 19 72 when Richard Nixon scored a 49 state landslide over George McGovern who to that point was the furthest left Presidential candidate in history until Kamala Harris came along So what the party did was very smart They headed to the center And in 1976 post Watergate Jimmy Carter came along and promised to be truthful to never lie to you as he said And by the way let's take a bow to Jimmy Carter He is over a hundred years old and still hanging up But be that as it may They simply headed to the center and they nominated someone who could speak to the broad center the broad middle of the American electorate which is always where the votes are easiest to tally It's easiest to attract by appearing to be Not so liberal or conservative but common sense And that's really what Donald Trump did this time If you really look at his platform he spoke to everybody the same way And he appealed to them with common sense solutions as opposed to Kamala Harris who just attacked Trump and said he was basically a fascist Well she actually said he is a fascist That obviously didn't work But Jimmy Carter came back 4 years later People were rioting Now the obituary for the Democratic Party after 19 72 but things can change very quickly in politics And along comes Jimmy Carter and he wins the White House for the Democrats in 19 76 And another example was 1988 after Michael Dukakis was a disastrous candidate riding around in an oversized helmet and a tank.
