After the terrorist truck attack in Sweden recently, there are signs that Swedes are starting to wake up from their long slumber. Nevertheless, the crazy suicidal politics that has been rotting away Sweden for several decades are still in place and continue to do damage. In the U.S., Sweden is often praised as a model country by those on the left, but few Americans are aware of how radically Sweden has been deconstructing.
Not long ago, Sweden was one of the safest and most peaceful countries in the world. Nowadays Sweden is infamously dubbed the “rape capital of Europe,” and the main reason for that is the large influx of migrants from the Middle East and Africa. The rate of crime and rape among immigrants was so alarming that the government in 2005 actively decided to start covering it up because the truth might lead to racism. 2005 was the last year that Swedish authorities broke down the crime statistics into perpetrator country of origin.
But in some cases, the ethnicities of rapists are well-known, such as in the case when three immigrants from Afghanistan and Iran streamed their rape live on Facebook. Two of them were not Swedish citizens, but the court has recently decided that rape on Facebook is not sufficient grounds for deportation. From Breitbart:
Two asylum seekers who are on trial for raping a Swedish girl and streaming the ordeal live on Facebook will not face deportation back to their home countries.
The asylum seekers directly involved in the rape, aged 18 and 21, will not face deportation after the prosecution withdrew their previous claim. “The prosecutor has taken a wise decision. It is against the Aliens Act, which I pointed out here before,” said lawyer Stefan Wallin who is defending one of the men accused of the rape, 24 Uppsala reports.
You might think that all Swedes would be outraged by such a decision to let rapists stay in their country, but you would be wrong. The leader of the political party Feminist Initiative, which received 3% in the last election, recently said in an interview that Sweden should have no military defense and no refugees should be deported, even if they are rapists, murderers or terrorists. Why — apparently, because Sweden belongs just as much to foreigners as it does to native Swedes. From Speisa:
– We are for a refugee amnesty, Victoria Kawesa clarifies.
The party also believes that no foreign nationals who commit crimes in Sweden are to be sentenced to deportation, no matter how serious the crime is.
Then the murderers and rapists who otherwise would be sent back to their home countries remain in Sweden”, asks SVT‘s reporter.
– But white (ethnic) Swedes who are jailed for serious crimes are not deported. We should have a consistent policy, says Victoria Kawesa, and points out that the most important thing is that a criminal is convicted for the crime.
To make matters worse, Swedish police in its infinite wisdom has decided to improve its crime solving rate by not investigating serious crimes but instead prioritizing traffic violations. The police call this Project Alcatraz. One would be tempted to believe that this is something taken out of a South Park episode, but sadly it is just a reflection of the state of Swedish ostrich politics.
However, there are signs of improvement. Project Alcatraz has been subject to massive criticism inside the police, and in a recent poll, only 47% of Swedes had confidence in the police. There seems to be a limit to how much even pathologically tolerant pushover-Swedes are willing to accept when it comes to crazy politics.
