French activists from the pan-European patriotic Identitarian Movement recently engaged in Greenpeace-style activism on the Mediterranean to prevent migrants from coming to Europe. In their own words, they described the project as follows:
In the evening of the 12th of May identitarian activists blocked the ship “AQUARIUS” of the NGO “SOS MEDITERRANE” and prevented them from setting their sails.
With this action the Identitarian Movement wants to point to the criminal activities of several so called “humanitarian” organizations in the Mediterranean. Since several months they are smuggling hundred thousands of illegal Immigrants from the Libyan coast to Europe and don’t even shy away from working together with human traffickers.
For this reason, these organisations are also responsible for the drowning of thousands of Africans in the sea. Only because of their activities, these people are ready to take the dangerous risk of the passage to Europe.
The media and the politicians are only spectators. We Identitarians decided that it was time to act. We think it is our task and our duty to take part in stopping these criminal and dangerous activities.
As a consequence of their actions, Italian police took action and arrested – not the human traffickers, nor the illegal aliens, nor the NGOs who cooperate with the human traffickers – but the Identitarians who tried to stop the “SOS MEDITERANNE” from engaging in criminal activity.
Independent journalist and YouTube celebrity Lauren Southern was present and documented the events. She was among the arrested. The Liberty Conservative writes:
Southern livestreamed the entire incident on her Periscope account, which showed the chaotic incident to subscribers as it unfolded. As the large vessel came into view, Southern found her bearings. She declared, “If the politicians won’t stop the boats, then we’ll stop the boats!”
The Identitarian Movement started in France but has since spread to many European countries. They use the Greek letter Lambda ( “Λ”) as their symbol, which was also employed by the Spartan warriors on their shields, most famously epitomized by the movie “300” where three hundred Spartan warriors bravely fought to save Greece and Western civilization from the invading Persian army. The Identitarians view themselves in the same vain, as the last stance against the hordes that are invading Europe.
While they were not able to stop the migrants from coming this time, they did, however, manage to reveal the complicity of the European governments in letting the migrants come in. They proved that the Italian police has been deliberately passive in stopping illegal aliens from entering Europe and the NGOs and human traffickers who bring them because there was no lack of resources or response when it came to preventing the Identitarian Movement from defending European borders from the migrants.
Some who defend illegal immigration in Europe and in America, do so on the fallacious notion that it somehow reduces poverty in the world. The former journalist and current leader of Numbers USA Roy Beck illustrated how wrong that belief is:
The mainstream media have not reported on the incident in Italy, but it is likely that the Identitarian Movement will step up their game until it reaches widespread media attention.
