In a remarkable display of arrogance coupled with ignorance, a senior citizens center in Georgia FORBADE the residents to pray in a communal group before meals.  Why?  Because the center receives federal funding.

We have been instructed…by the state regulatory agency that verbal prayer was not allowed at any senior center.

Not only do these bumbling bureaucrats not understand the first amendment, they have totally turned it on its head.  Maybe it”s time for grandpa to get medieval with his cane?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
